Really enjoyed having a sitting area and fresh tea in the well decorated room. The breakfast served was delicious and savoury with views to Talland Bay, the delicious local sausage, welcoming atmosphere. The location was lovely and magnificent, close enough to both the conservatory and the restaurant, and that restaurant and easily accessible.

Chose this hotel for the location, and it lived up to expectations. Set in beautiful gardens which roll straight down to a peaceful bay. 5 mins walk to the beach, and easy access to the coastal path, with some great walks. Excellent breakfast and room.
The location is perfect if the weather's good. However, if it's raining there is very little to do in the hotel or the surrounding area. The hotel is 20mins drive from the nearest town. There is no night porter, and no way of getting a drink or snack after the restaurant has shut.

The staff were exceedingly welcoming. Our room was recently decorated and the bedding crisp and clean. The restaurant was beautifully located with a sea view and the food was excellent.
The shower was a rather difficult but the manager of the hotel immediately asked the plumber to investivate.

Lovely comfortable bed in attractive room with great bathroom, fantastic food and very helpful and friendly staff, down a long narrow lane coming out into a wonderful cove with sea view - a treasure at the end of the journey. Quirky art on the walls, great fun to look at and individual style.

Showers need proper attention!!! Road access is quite narrow and a bit stressful!!! Some rooms lack modern amenities and could use a refresh!!!

During our stay we were treated like royalty....The staff were courteous and friendly. We felt warmth and discretion from the outset. We were left in no doubt that the whole team wished our stay to be a special experience. As my mother used to say......We were waited on Hand, Foot, and Finger. Thank you All.......Chris & Sue

We liked the decor, the furniture and fittings, the location and the staff. We also liked the gardens, the food and the mix of superior and classic rooms. It had a lovely atmosphere, it is a family run hotel and that adds to the ambience, although it was intimate and small it was very professionally run and worked like clockwork. We would certainly go back and recommend it to anyone wishing to have a quiet but elegant stay in a small and intimate hotel setting, in what was a stunning location.

Staying here with my kids was a delight! The nearby beach was perfect for family fun, and we took a lovely trip to Plymouth, a highlight. The food was fantastic and the staff were super friendly.
My children wanted more outdoor activities and play areas. A little more space for kids would be great.

We liked everything about this hotel, from the room to the service to the unbeatable view. The gardens are lovely and very interesting, as are the decorations and ornaments inside the hotel. We would love to come back here again for a week at least (if we could afford to). Very highly recommended
